Please do read the booking terms and conditions (“Terms and
Conditions”) carefully before booking, as these booking Terms and
Conditions shall be deemed to have been accepted by you when you
complete and sign the No. 4 Lowerbourne Booking Form.
1. THE CONTRACT
This contract entered into is between K Green (“the Owner”) and the
renter of No. 4 Lowerbourne (“the Hirer”). The Contract is only
effective once the completed booking form and required payment have
been received. The Contract is subject to English Law.
2. PAYMENT
For reservations made more than eight weeks before the holiday start
date, a deposit of 25% of the total rental cost is payable on the
return of the signed Booking Form. The deposit is always
non-refundable. For bookings made less than eight weeks before
arrival, full payment is required on booking.
3. BALANCE OUTSTANDING
The total holiday cost is payable not later than eight weeks before
arrival. Failure to make full payment at the appropriate time may
result in the cancellation of the booking and the forfeiture of the
deposit. No reminder is sent.
4. CANCELLATION
The Hirer is strongly advised to arrange holiday cancellation
insurance to give protection in the event that the Hirer is unable,
for any reason, to take up the holiday accommodation at the agreed
time. The Hirer should notify the Owner of any cancellation
immediately in writing. For any cancellation before the arrival
date, not only will any deposit be forfeited but also the balance of
the total rental will also be payable by the Hirer. If No. 4
Lowerbourne can be re-let then the appropriate refund will be made.
5. DESCRIPTIONS
The Owner makes every effort to describe No. 4 Lowerbourne fairly.
However we cannot be responsible for any defect in the description.
6. CARE OF No. 4 LOWERBOURNE
The Hirer is responsible for No. 4 Lowerbourne during their
occupation and for leaving it in good order and in a clean
condition. The Hirer is responsible for ensuring that all members of
his/her party behave in a responsible manner both in relation to No.
4 Lowerbourne and the general neighbourhood during the holiday
period. A breakages deposit cheque of £100 (UK pounds) will be
requested by the Owner. This will be destroyed at the end of the
holiday (or returned, if requested) after deducting the cost of any
breakages or extra services required to return No. 4 Lowerbourne to
its original condition. Any excess will be payable by the Hirer who
should report any breakages/damages to the Owner within 24 hours of
any damage.
7. NUMBERS OF PEOPLE USING THE HOLIDAY ACCOMODATION
Under no circumstances may more than 4 (four) people occupy No. 4
Lowerbourne, unless prior agreement has been given by the Owner.
Admittance may be refused if this condition is not observed. The
Owner reserves the right to refuse or revoke bookings from parties
which may in their opinion be unsuitable for No. 4 Lowerbourne. In
such cases, all hire charges will be refundable in full and the
Contract will be discharged.
8. LIABILITIES
The Owner cannot accept liability for loss of any nature suffered by
any person from any cause whatsoever arising in connection with that
person’s occupation or attendance at No. 4 Lowerbourne. The details
on our website may be subject to change in the future. The
information given on our web site is believed to be correct and true
at the time of going to press.
9. COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE
The Hirer must notify the Owner immediately if a problem arise and
we will do our best to rectify it as soon as possible so that we can
ensure that you enjoy the rest of your holiday with the minimum of
inconvenience. The Owner cannot recompense you if we are not made
aware of any problem at the time and complaints must be reported
within 24 hours. On no account will complaints be accepted after the
end of your holiday. Please note that no correspondence can be
entered into concerning complaints made upon departure or after your
return home.
10. BOOKING ALTERATION
Rarely, for reasons beyond the control of the Owner, we have to
cancel or alter arrangements made for the Hirer – in this event we
will contact you as soon as possible to offer a full refund of
monies paid to date. We will not accept consequential damages and
liability is limited to a full refund of monies paid.
11. ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES
No. 4 Lowerbourne will be available after 4.00pm on day of arrival
and must be vacated by 10.30am on day of departure, unless otherwise
agreed by the Owner. The cottage must be left in the clean and tidy
condition in which it was found, locked and the keys must be
returned to the key box and the numbers jumbled.
