Porlock is a charming
village situated within the Exmoor National Park, reknowned for the
infamous “Porlock Hill” leading
onto Exmoor with its unrivalled walking, riding and stunning scenery.
Porlock itself has a variety of shops, restaurants, and several pubs.
Closeby are the National Trust villages Bossington
and Selworthy
and also the village of Dunster with a medieval yarn market, a working
water mill, and the historic Dunster Castle.
A short drive away is the sandy beach, promenade, shops and
amusements of Minehead.
Approximately 45 minutes away are the fabulous sandy beaches of
Croyde and Woolacombe on the North Devon coast.
Some other areas of interest are: Lynton and Lynmouth, Watersmeet, Oare Valley and Loona Doone.
Activities such as horse riding, golfing, fishing, cycling, sailing
are all available within the area.
